What is true for certain ages is not true later on.

My point is - Zeitgeist is fixed on the religion of the final ages of ancient Egypt, when the country was not the mighty empire anymore. I feel that's not the best way to capture the spirit of this ancient culture.Florin Andreihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04469372317412338251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5970715176853156690.post-26190864582199283962009-05-20T11:08:20.875-07:002009-05-20T11:08:20.875-07:00@Your Personal Marketer:

But they are just a quick start for the lazy. I'm sure the astute readers can dig up more on their own.

Keep in mind that the "dispute" on the Horus page on Wikipedia is largely due to Zeitgeist "fans". So, the page disagrees with their dogma, so they dispute it, then they present the dispute as evidence. Nice circular logic.

What's funny is that I tend to like the ideals presented in "Zeitgeist Addendum", but the way they are supported with wildly imaginative allegations in "Zeitgeist: The Movie" is absurd and does no one any service.

They need to clean up their act before anybody of consequence takes them seriously.Florin Andreihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04469372317412338251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5970715176853156690.post-61954473950130098062009-05-20T03:08:47.460-07:002009-05-20T03:08:47.460-07:00Nice piece of work here, Florin.

The problem is, the movie wanted to make a point, and yes, the historical facts were mixed up a little. You're not guilt-free from this either. you point your readers to your sources at wikipedia - where the administrators placed a warning at the head of the page, notifying readers that the information is inaccurate, unverified or simply wrong!
To say: "this is the truth" based on information from wikipedia isn't very credible on your part.
Without having as broad a knowledge as you have on the subject in general, I picked up some inconsistencies myself:
As someone with Jewish/Israeli background, I can read Hebrew fluently, and during the movie there was mis-translations on several occasions.

We can pick this movie to pieces, including the horrible (and MLM style) music, the sarcastic tone, and inaccuracies.
I do think the movie sparked a debate, or conversation, much more important than the movie itself. Not just about the creation of the different religions, also about the US government conduct, wars in general, and financial institutions.
These conversations can go on forever, and I'm glad a movie can create such an effect.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
